Land Surveyors’ Examination, March, 1909.

The Surveyors’ Board,
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 21st January, 1909.

IT is hereby notified for general information that the Surveyors’ Board will conduct an examination of candidates for licenses to survey, commencing at 9 a.m. on Monday, 8th March, 1909, at the Dominion Museum, Wellington.

Candidates are informed that their applications, together with documentary evidence of having complied with the necessary conditions, must reach the Secretary of the Board at least thirty days before the date fixed for the examination, and that the examination fee of £1 1s. must be paid before the date of the examination to the Secretary of the Board, from whom application forms, regulations, and other information may be obtained.

Notice of the Laying-off of a Road over Native Land in Wangaehu Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given, under the authority contained in section 96 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1886,” and the amendments thereof, that the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto was, in August, 1899, surveyed and laid off over the Native land therein mentioned under my direction; and that, in terms of the said Act, the site of such road shall be deemed to be a road dedicated to the public, and shall vest in His Majesty.

Notice published pursuant to the Provisions of Section 15 of “The Public Trust Office Act, 1908.”

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election to administer the several intestate estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far as known, are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

Examination for Dredgemasters’ Certificates.

Mines Department,
Wellington, 9th October, 1908.

AN examination of candidates for certificates as dredgemasters, under “The Mining Act, 1908,” will be held on Tuesday, the 30th March, 1909, at Greymouth and Clyde. All applications, with necessary certificates, and fee of £1 by post-office order, should be addressed to “The Secretary, Board of Examiners under the Mining Act, Wellington,” and must be received on or before the 8th March, 1909. Forms of application may be obtained from Inspectors of Mines, Westport, Reefton, Clyde, and Dunedin.

Examination for Mine-managers’ and Battery Superintendents’ Certificates.

Mines Department,
Wellington, 9th October, 1908.

WRITTEN and oral examinations of candidates for certificates as First- and Second-class Mine-managers and Battery Superintendents under “The Mining Act, 1908,” and First- and Second-class Mine-managers under “The Coal-mines Act, 1908,” will be held on Tuesday, the 23rd March, 1909, and following days, at the Thames, Waihi, Reefton, and Dunedin. All applications, with necessary certificates, and fee of £1 by post-office order, should be addressed to “The Secretary, Board of Examiners under the Mining Act [or Coal-mines Act], Wellington,” and must be received on or before the 8th March, 1909. Forms of application may be obtained at any School of Mines, and from Inspectors of Mines.
