No. 26071.—11th June, 1909.—CHARLES EDWARD WALLDER, of 414 Burwood Road, Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia, Wholesale Butcher, and HARRY MOSS ASHTON, of Coburg, Victoria aforesaid, Engineer. Instrument for use in skinning carcases, cutting flesh, and other suitable materials.

Claims.—(1.) In instruments for skinning carcases or cutting flesh and other suitable materials, a revolvable guard-plate as n, substantially as and for the purposes set forth. (2.) In instruments for skinning carcases or cutting flesh and other suitable materials, a revolvable guard-plate the periphery of which is serrated, substantially as and for the purposes set forth. (3.) In instruments for skinning carcases or cutting flesh and other suitable materials, a disc or plate for holding the cutting-blades, and having therein grooves or slots, with means for adjusting and holding said blades in true radial positions, substantially as and for the purposes set forth. (4.) In instruments for skinning carcases or cutting flesh and other suitable materials, in combination, a holding disc or plate as k, screws as q set in a circular line on same, and sharpened edged cutters as p, capable of being revolvably adjusted on and held tight by the said screws, substantially as and for the purposes set forth.
