Declaring Native Land to be subject to Part II of “The Native Land Settlement Act, 1907.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of July 1909.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the Commission referred to in section fifty-four of “The Native Land Settlement Act, 1907,” has reported to the Governor that certain Native land, to wit, the Native land described in the Schedule hereto, should be reserved for the use and occupation of Maoris:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by the aforesaid section fifty-four, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby declare that the Native land described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to Part II of the aforesaid Act, as from the date of this Order in Council.

Fixing the Fees of Members of the Surveyors’ Board, and the Rate of Travelling-allowance.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of July, 1909.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section eleven of “The Surveyors’ Institute and Board of Examiners Act, 1908,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council of the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and one, fixing the fees of members of the Surveyors’ Board, and the rate of travelling-allowance, and in lieu thereof doth hereby fix the fees of all members of the Surveyors’ Board at one guinea for every day’s sitting on Board or Committee business, and the travelling-allowance of all members of the said Board at one guinea a day when travelling on the business of the Board.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c., County of Wanganui.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of July, 1909.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Wanganui, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in “The Counties Act, 1908,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said “Counties Act, 1908,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the defaulters’ list and the rolls for ridings within the County of Wanganui: Until the 5th day of July, 1909.

  2. Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 9th day of July, 1909, to the 27th day of July, 1909.

  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 12th day of August, 1909.

  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 1st day of September, 1909.

  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 13th day of September, 1909.
