Note.—A fine and pleasant month on the whole. Total bright sunshine, 194 hours 55 minutes, and two days without recorded sunshine. Earth temperatures declined from 58° to 54°, with a mean of 57·3° at 1 ft., and from 59° to 57°, with a mean of 58·3°. Mean relative humidity, 72 per cent.; dew-point, 47·9; elastic force of vapour, 0·334 inches.
