And whereas it is expedient that such lands shall be appropriated for endowments for primary education, being reserves within Class III of the aforesaid Act :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the eleventh section of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,” do by this notification declare that the said lands shall, from and after the twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nine, be appropriated for endowments for primary education under Class III of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908”; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 40 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 34 and 35, Kereru Bush, situated in Block III, Wakarara Survey District.
Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 32 acres, more or less, being Section No. 25, Kereru Bush, situated in Block III, Wakarara Survey District.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 5264/3, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Land temporarily reserved for a Site for a Native School in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a Native school.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block VIII, Tairua Survey District. Bounded towards the east by a public road running along the western side of Wharekawa Harbour, bearing 161° 20′, distance 204·8 links, and bearing 179° 43′, distance 449·2 links; towards the south-east by a right line bearing 251° 31′, distance 458·5 links; towards the south-west by a right line bearing 335° 16′, distance 685·4 links; and towards the north-west by right lines bearing 251° 11′, distance 486·5 links, and bearing 267° 23′, distance 193·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 55740/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Bounded towards the north generally and east by Section No. 76, Selwyn Settlement, Block I, Patetere North-east Survey District; towards the south by a public road; and towards the west by Section No. 3 of Block IV, Patetere North Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 19315/365, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
