COMPLETE specifications which have been unopposed
and have been passed by the examiner during the period,
accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition
to the grant of Letters Patent, upon stating particulars of
the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A
duplicate is affixed hereto.

No. 24321.—4th February, 1908.—HORACE GEORGE
BOWLER, of the Town of Brandon, Province of Mani
toba, Dominion of Canada, Engineer. Improve
ments in relating to the treatment of liquid mud and solid
components of a fluid mass such as, wet slimes or ore-pulp,
or of the like to recover moisture.

Extract from Specification.—The present invention has
for its object to effectively and with a saving of capital and
rapid settlement of the solid matter in suspension in
a fluid mass, such as a fluid mineral contents from ore
pulp, by steadily and continuously withdrawing solid said
matter in a thicker and drier form in such a manner that
the top of the same when not directly in a deep open air
settling tank or other vessel (or a compartment therein) into
which the fluid mass is continuously fed (and is settled
according to the present invention, by causing or permitting
the same partly to overflow with floating link to an off-take
special settling compartment therein) and, as it settles,
is withdrawn as a thicker solid viscous (continuously and
steadily from the lower part of such tank or vessel or com
