Amending Part of a Proclamation taking Lands for a Road,
and closing Roads, in Blocks XIV, Wai-iti, and XIII,
Waimea Survey District, Nelson County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section five of The Land Act, 1908,
it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation,
Order in Council, and other instrument (whether made
before or after the passing of that Act) may cancel, amend,
or alter any Proclamation, Order in Council, or other instru-
ment by the Governor, the Minister, or any Land Board, made by
any such authority for the purpose of such an Act:
And whereas it is necessary to amend a Proclamation
issued, published, and gazetted, taking land for a road, and
closing roads, in Blocks XIV, Wai-iti, and XIII, Waimea Survey
District,
dated twenty-fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred
and nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine,
and advertised in the Guardian of March the ninth, 1909:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee Baron Plunket, the Go-
vernor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers conferred by the hereinbefore-recited
authority, do hereby, and from and after the said Proclamation by
subs-
tituting for the First and Second Schedules respectively of the
said Proclamation the First and Second Schedules hereto, cancel,
amend, and alter the said Proclamation accordingly, one thou-
sand nine hundred and nine.

Lands proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Blocks XIII,
Makuri, and II, Puketoi Survey Districts, Pahiatua County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
the Public Works Act, 1908, I, William
Lee Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owners and occupiers
and mortgagees of the lands mentioned in the First Schedule
hereto, and on the conditions of the said First Schedule, in the
counties of Pahiatua and Wairarapa South, take and proclaim
as a road the lands in Makuri Survey District, and
Wairarapa South, and in Puketoi Survey District, and Pahiatua, and
with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the
roads mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto; and it is
hereby required by reason of the road first hereinbefore pro-
claimed.
