Reserve in Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Tender.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders will be received at this office up to 4 p.m. on Friday, the 14th day of May, 1909, for a lease of the undermentioned reserve under the provisions of “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.”

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—PUNIU SURVEY DISTRICT.—WEST TAUPŌ COUNTY.
SECTION 4, Block VI: 104 acres 2 roods 12 perches. (Weighted with £6, valuation for draining.)

Terms and conditions of lease: Ten years, without right of renewal.

Minimum annual rental: £10.

No compensation shall be payable for improvements at any time, but the lessee may remove all fences and buildings prior to expiration of lease.

Rental payable half-yearly in advance; the first half-year’s rent at the rate tendered, together with £1 1s. lease fee and £6 valuation for improvements, to be deposited with the tender.

No right to underlet or part with possession of the land, or any part thereof, without the consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.

The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land; and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, broom, sweetbriar, or other noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The Crown reserves to itself the right to determine the lease upon giving six months’ notice in writing of intention so to do, and no compensation shall be claimed by reason of such resumption.

Rental-payments thirty days in arrear shall render the lease liable to termination, or a breach of covenant in the lease shall entitle the Crown to re-enter and determine the lease.

The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Tenders to be addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Auckland, and indorsed “Tender for leasing Puniu S.D.”
