Land in Block IX, Ohinewairua Survey District, taken for
a Road-approach to a Railway.

PLUNKET, Governor.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1908,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction
of a road-approach to a railway-station :

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
for the purposes hereinafter specified have been observed
and performed :

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public
Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of a
road-approach to the Mataroa Station, on the North Island
Main Trunk Railway.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate Area of the Parcel of Land taken. Being Portion of Situated in Block No. Situated in Survey District of Coloured on Plan
A. R. P. 2 0 19 Crown land .. IX Ohinewairua Sepia.

In the Land District of Wellington; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 24048,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works,
at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington,
and thereon coloured as above.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this first day of May, in the year of
our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Resuming Land for the Purposes of a Drain.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of
“The Land Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor in
Council may, by Proclamation, resume possession of any
land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under any
corresponding Part of “The Land Act, 1892,” which in his
opinion is required for any public purpose :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land which is held under occupation-with-
right-of-purchase license from His Majesty the King
under Part III of “The Land Act, 1892,” dated the thirtieth
day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
five :

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, the land
mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public
purpose—that is to say, for the purposes of a drain :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act,
1908,” and of all other powers and authorities in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I
hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the
Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore men-
tioned, the same being part of the land held under occupa-
tion-with-right-of-purchase license as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 1 perch, more or less, being a
drain 20 ft. wide intersecting Section No. 6, Block IV, Te
Tumu Survey District. Running from a point on the

northern boundary of that section distant 1726·7 links from
its north-western corner; on a bearing of 134° 11′ and
distance 4992·1 links to a point on the eastern boundary of
the said Section No. 6, distant 2294·3 links from its south-
eastern corner: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less:
as the same is delineated and marked CD on the plan
marked L. 7206/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

from His Majesty the King under Part III of “The Land
Act, 1892,” dated the twenty-second day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-five :

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, the land
mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public
purpose—that is to say, for the purposes of a drain :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act,
1908,” and of all other powers and authorities in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by

tion No. 2, Block III, Te Tumu Survey District. Bounded
towards the north by Section No. 15, Block III aforesaid,
and Section No. 7, Block IV, 2227·5 links; towards the east
by Section No. 7 aforesaid, 42·2 links; towards the south
generally by right lines, 17·1 and 2215·3 links respectively;
and towards the west by Section No. 1, Block III aforesaid,
30·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the
same is delineated and marked AB on the plan marked
L. 7206/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
