Additional Lands taken at Kensington, in the City of Dunedin, for the Purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway to take further lands at Kensington, in the City of Dunedin, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 16876, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured blue, green, sepia, yellow, brown, and neutral tint.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the North Island Main Trunk Railway from a point at or near Marton to Te Awamutu, via Murimotu, Taumarunui, and the Ongarue River Valley (portion of the Porewa Section), to take further land at Rata, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
