SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, known as the Taihape–Otuarei Road, commencing at a point 25 chains west of the Moawhango Bridge, and proceeding generally in an easterly direction, intersecting 3a No. 2c, Block XI, Ohinewairua Survey District, and including the Moawhango Bridge, thence intersecting 2c No. 20, 2c No. 18, and 2c No. 16, Block XII, Ohinewairua Survey District, and terminating at a point 12 chains west of the boundary between Section 3 and 2c No. 16, Block XII aforesaid, being a distance of 3 miles 68 chains, or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 863, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring the Makotuku Valley Road, in the Waimarino County, to be a County Road.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of March, 1909.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County, known as the Makotuku Valley Road, commencing at the boundary between Sections 30 and 31, Block XV, Manganoi Survey District, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction along frontage of Sections 31, Block XV, and 13, 14, 15, and 21, Block XVI, Manganoi Survey District, thence through the Township of Horopito West, and terminating at the junction with the Matapuna–Ohakune Road, being a distance of two miles, or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 798, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Ward Street, Ellerslie Town District, to be a Town District Road.

ALL that road in the Auckland Land District, Eden County, and Ellerslie Town District, known as Ward Street, commencing at a point at junction with Jubilee Road; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15; thence along Railway Reserve to north-eastern corner of Allotment 76: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 10698, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink, and lettered A.B.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Wanganui County, Upper Wangaehu Road District, known as the Kaimatawi Road, commencing at its junction with the Turakina Valley Road, and proceeding generally in an easterly direction along the frontage of Sections 5 and 6, Block VI, Maungakaretu Survey District; thence along part frontage of Section 1, Block VII, Maungakaretu Survey District, and terminating at a point 20 chains east of the boundary between Sections 6 and 1 aforesaid, being a distance of 1 mile 40 chains, or thereabouts: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 7087, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three, (a), of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Waiapu County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the roads described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waiapu County Council closing the roads mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
