A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1908” (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), a Scenery Preservation Board is constituted, and it is enacted that such Board shall, when so directed by the Minister of Lands, inspect any lands possessing scenic or historic interest, or on which there are thermal springs, and make inquiries respecting the same, and report to the Governor; and shall from time to time recommend what lands, whether Crown or private, should be permanently reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And whereas the said Board was duly directed to inspect and report on the land described in the Schedule hereunder, and has recommended that the said land should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a scenic reserve under “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1908,” and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 175 acres 2 roods 36·8 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 28A, 29, and 30, Block A, of Taieri Native Reserve. Bounded towards the north-west generally by the left bank of the Taieri River, by Section No. 28B of Block A, Taieri Native Reserve, and by the abutment of a public road; towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south-east by Section No. 29A of the said Block A; again towards the north-east by the last-mentioned section, by Sections Nos. 29B and 31 of Block A aforesaid, and by the abutment of a public road; and again towards the south-east by Block C of the Taieri Native Reserve to the Taieri River aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 315/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Bounded towards the north by Section No. 1, Block XVI, Tiriraukawa Survey District; towards the east by Section No. 2 of the same block; towards the south by the said Section 2 and a stream; and towards the west by the Watershed Road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 291/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway to take further land at Stratford, in addition to land previously acquired for the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
