Additional Land in Block VII, Wendon-side Survey District,
taken for the Purposes of the Waimea-Switzers Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Waimea-
Switzers Railway to take further land in Block VII,
Wendonside Survey District, in addition to land previously
acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections
twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The
Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Sche-
dule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above men-
tioned.

The parcels of land mentioned hereunder:—

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and
thereon coloured as above.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and
its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of
the said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this second day of April, in the year
of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Land in Port Nicholson Survey District taken for the Pur-
poses of an Electric Tramway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1908,” and “The Tramways Act, 1908,” for a certain
public work, to wit, the straightening of Broadway, and
also of Ira Street at its junction with Broadway, to facilitate
the running of an electric tramway along the said Broad-
way:

And whereas the Miramar Borough Council has laid
before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map,
and also the statutory declaration, as required by “The
Public Works Act, 1908”:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers of “The Public Works Act, 1908,”
and “The Tramways Act, 1908,” and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the
said street-straightening to facilitate the running of the elec-
tric tramway aforesaid, and shall, as from the date herein-
after specified, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Bur-
gesses of the Borough of Miramar; and it is hereby declared
that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

Road-approaches to a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1908,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction
of road-approaches to a railway:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be
observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for
the purposes hereinafter specified have been observed and
performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public
Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of road-
approaches to the Tauhoa Station, on the Helensville North-
wards Railway.
