NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.

Sitting of the Validation Court at Gisborne.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Validation Court will be held at Gisborne on Tuesday the 6th day of April, 1909, to inquire into and determine the matter set out in the Schedule hereunder, and to make such orders and decrees in respect thereof as to the Court shall seem fit.

Order for Incorporation of the Owners of the Whakapoungakau No. 10b Block.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, AUCKLAND DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and its amendments, and of the petition for incorporation by the owners of the Whakapoungakau No. 10b Block. At a sitting of the Court held at Rotorua, before Jackson Palmer, Chief Judge, and Hori Tait, Assessor, on Friday, the 29th day of January, 1909.

UPON reading the petition for incorporation lodged herein, and upon hearing the petitioners, and the evidence adduced on their behalf, and the Court being satisfied of the consent of the majority of the owners of the said Whakapoungakau No. 10b Block, and that such block can be dealt with to the advantage of the owners thereof by being incorporated as hereinafter appearing, it is ordered that the owners whose names are set out in the Schedule hereunder written shall be and the same are hereby constituted a body corporate within the meaning of section 122 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” by the name of “The Proprietors of the Whakapoungakau No. 10b Block,” subject to the powers, liabilities, and incidents conferred or imposed by the said Act or any amendments thereof. The said land contains 315 acres, or thereabouts, and is bounded as follows: Towards the north by Whakapoungakau Nos. 9 and 8, towards the east by Whakapoungakau No. 8 and Okataina Blocks, towards the south by Whakapoungakau No. 11b, and towards the west by Lake Rotorua.

And it is hereby ordered and directed that a general meeting of the proprietors of the said block shall be held at Te Ngae on Monday, the 1st day of March, 1909, at the hour of 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of nominating a committee to administer the said land, and fixing the number of its members.

And it is hereby further ordered that the committee shall have full power to defray the reasonable costs and expenses consequent upon this incorporation or incidental thereto, and that the title to the said land hereby vested in the corporate body above named shall be subject to all existing rights, alienations, encumbrances, and contracts affecting the same or any interest therein.
