NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with section 302 of “The Companies Act, 1908,” that the Head Offices or place of business in the Dominion of New Zealand of the ROYAL EXCHANGE ASSURANCE OF LONDON is now situated at Sussex Chambers, corner of Featherston and Panama Streets, in the City of Wellington, in lieu of High Street, in the City of Dunedin.

ROBERTS AND HULL, BAKERS, ADELAIDE ROAD, WELLINGTON.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between ARTHUR ROBERTS and FREDERICK HENRY HULL, carrying on business as bakers, under the style of “Roberts and Hull,” at 113 Adelaide Road, Wellington, is hereby dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of February, 1909.
The business will be carried on by Arthur Roberts, who will receive all debts due to the partnership, and discharge all debts due by the same.

HOKITIKA HARBOUR BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 4th day of February, 1909, a poll was taken on the proposal of the Hokitika Harbour Board to raise a special loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000), under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” for the purpose of constructing an extension of the North Training-wall seawards, and such other works as the Governor in Council may approve.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 531; against the proposal, 162.
I therefore declare the said proposal to be carried.

THE WAIROA PRINTING AND PUBLISHING COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of the above company, called for the purpose, and held on the 30th day of January, 1909, the following extraordinary resolution was passed: “That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that the company be wound up accordingly”; and at the same meeting Mr. WILLIAM COLLIER MUNRO was appointed Liquidator.

In the matter of “The Rating Act, 1908.”
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 39 of “The Rating Act, 1908,” I hereby give public notice that at a poll taken at Hastings on Thursday, the 11th day of February, 1909, on the proposal “That henceforth the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value be adopted in the Borough of Hastings,” the number of votes recorded for and against the proposal were as follows:—

As the number of votes recorded for the proposal exceed those recorded against it, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.
Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication, a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.

A SPECIAL Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is now published fortnightly, containing all notices concerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents, expired letters patent, and other information useful to inventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on payment of a subscription of eleven shillings per annum, including postage, payable in advance to the Government Printer.
