UNDER “THE MINING ACT, 1908.”
APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Roxburgh.
PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1908,” the under-signed, John Donaldson, of Roxburgh, Farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner’s right: 26th March, 1908; No. 68504.
Address for service: Care of J. G. Stuart, Solicitor, Roxburgh.
Dated at Roxburgh, this 30th day of November, 1908.
Schedule.
Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing at a point in a creek known as McKay’s Creek, in Section 23, Block I, Benger Survey District, about 40 chains above the main Lawrence-Roxburgh Road, and terminating near applicant’s dwellinghouse, upon Section 24, Block I, aforesaid district, being freehold lands of applicant. Pegs marked X.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 11 a.m. on 10th November, 1908.
Length and intended course of race: 20 chains; north-west to south-east.
Points of intake: One.
Estimated time and cost of construction: One week; £10.
Mean depth and breadth: 6 in. deep by 1 ft. wide.
Number of heads to be diverted: Half-head.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Domestic and irrigation purposes.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.
