Additional Lands at Amberley, in the Grey Survey District,
taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway.

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui-
Waitaki Railway to take further land at Amberley, in the
Grey Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired
for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections
twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The
Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule
hereto are hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at
Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and
thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this first day of February, in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and nine.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the seventy-fifth section of “The Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that before
certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon
any block of land it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement;
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the
purposes of the said Act, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set
apart for settlement.
