Declaring Land to be subject to Part I of "The Native
Land Settlement Act, 1907."
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of December, 1909.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section four of "The Native Land Settlement
Act, 1907," it is enacted that, when and as
often as the Commission referred to therein has reported
to the Governor that any Native land is not required for
occupation by the Maori owners, and is available for sale or
leasing, it shall be lawful for the Governor by Order in
Council to declare that such land shall be subject to Part I
of the said Act as from the date of such Order, and the
same shall thereupon become, and at all times thereafter
remain, subject to the said Part I of the said Act accordingly:
And whereas the said Commission has reported that the
Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto are not required
for occupation by the Maori owners, and are available for
sale or leasing:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers in
this behalf vested in him by the aforesaid section four, His
Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council thereof, doth hereby declare that the Native lands
specified in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date of
this Order, be subject to Part I of "The Native Land Settlement
Act, 1907."
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement
309 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, situated in the Piopiotear West Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland, and known as Ohura South F No. 2c Block. Bounded
towards the north by Crown lands, towards the east by
Ohura South F No. 2B Block, towards the south by Crown
land, and towards the west by Crown land.
All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement
5,000 acres, more or less, situated in the Ranginui Survey
District, in the Land District of Auckland, and known as
Rangitoto B Block. Bounded towards the north-west by
Crown land, towards the north-east by Wharepuhunga
Nos. 17 and 6 Blocks, towards the south-east by Crown land,
and towards the south-west by Rangitoto A No. 31B, Crown
land, Rangitoto A No. 32B, Rangitoto A No. 33, Crown
land, and Rangitoto A No. 36B Blocks.
All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement
1,000 acres, more or less, situated in the Maungatautari and
Wharepapa Survey Districts, in the Land District of Auckland, and known as Wharepubunga No. 14B Section 1
Block. Bounded towards the north-west by Wharepubunga
No. 9c Block, towards the north-east by Wharepubunga
No. 14B Section 2A and a public road, towards the south-
east by Wharepubunga No. 12A Section 2 Block, and towards
the west generally by Wharepubunga Nos. 5D and 5E, and
again by 5D Block.
All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement
430 acres, more or less, situated in the Maungatautari and
Wharepapa Survey Districts, in the Land District of Auckland, and known as Wharepubunga No. 14B Section 2A
Block. Bounded towards the north generally by Wharepu-
hunga No. 14B Sections 3 and 4, and the Punui River;
towards the south-east by Wharepubunga Nos. 11 and 12A
Section 2 Blocks; towards the west generally by a public
road and Wharepubunga No. 14B Section 1; and towards
the north-west by Wharepubunga No. 9A Block.
All that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement
682 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, situated in the
