THE NELSON CREEK GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of “The Companies Act, 1908,” that a General Meeting of the members of the Nelson Creek Gold-dredging Company (Limited) will be held at the registered office of the company, No. 30 Crawford Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 14th day of January, 1910, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanations which may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator thereof, shall be disposed of. PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1908,” the undersigned, Franz David Baucke, of Back Creek, in Westland, New Zealand, Miner, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and number of miner’s right: 25th November, 1909; No. 77140.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Situate in the Westland District. Commencing at a peg, marked “X,” on western bank of the Toaroha River, in the Toaroha Survey District, above the Toaroha Falls, and running thence in a line about thirteen miles and a half to a peg, marked “X,” on Overlook Hill, Seddon’s Terrace, Rimu. The first three miles of the race will be a tunnel from the Toaroha River to Murray Creek, near Leasehold Section 2390. The course of the race then runs down that creek to Koiterangi Road, along that road, Cropp Road, and Koiterangi Main Road to a point near Kokatahi Bridge, and thence in a straight line over the Hokitika River to Overlook Hill. Sketch-plan filed with application.
Length and intended course of race: Thirteen miles and a half; north-west.
Points of intake: At said peg marked “A,” Toaroha River.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Two years; £75,000.
Mean depth and breadth: Tunnel, three miles; piping, 30 in.
Number of heads to be diverted: Forty.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Hydraulic mining.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.
