MOA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order levying a Special Rate for One Year for the Purpose of maintaining the Norfolk Road West.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1908,” the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That the prayer of the petition of the ratepayers of the Norfolk Road West be granted, and the Moa Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of maintaining the Norfolk Road West, hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Norfolk Road West Special-rating District, comprising Sections 160, 171, 172, 190, 191, 192, 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 199, 200, 201, 202, 203, 205, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Block XII, Egmont; 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, 166, 167, 168, 170, 173, 174, 175, 176 (in two subdivisions), 177, Block VIII, Egmont: and that such special rate shall be for one year, for the period commencing on the 1st day of September, 1909, and ending on the 31st day of August, 1910, and be payable in one instalment on the 1st day of December, 1909.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1908,” at a special meeting of the Moa Road Board held on the 2nd day of October, 1909, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Board held on the 20th day of November, 1909.

Special Order made by the Mauku Road Board, County of Manukau, making By-law.

MAUKU ROAD BOARD.

BY-LAW of the body corporate the Inhabitants of the Mauku Road District, made and enacted by and under special order of the Mauku Road Board passed on the 9th day of October, 1909, and confirmed on the 13th day of November, 1909. The said by-law to come into force after appearance in the New Zealand Gazette.

The undermentioned by-law shall be in force within half a mile of the Patumahoe Post-office:—

“No person shall ride, drive, or lead any horse or cattle on, upon, or along any footpath, or use the footpath for any purpose except foot traffic. Every person who shall commit a breach of this by-law shall be guilty of an offence, and for such offence be liable to a penalty not exceeding the sum of £5.”

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and confirmed in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

BULL’S TOWN BOARD.

Special Order.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Town Boards Act, 1908,” and its amendments, “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendments, and all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Bull’s Town Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Bull’s Town Board, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of erecting a Town Hall and offices in the Bull’s Town District, the said Bull’s Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Bull’s Town District, the boundaries whereof are set out in the Wellington Provincial Government Gazette No. 21, of 21st July, 1873, page 158; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years from the 1st day of January, 1910, or until the loan is fully paid off.

At a meeting of the Bull’s Town Board held on the 29th day of November, 1909, the above resolution by way of special order was put and carried.

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Waitomo.

THE following special order, made by the Waitomo County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Te Kuiti Township Special-rating District.—Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for completing unfinished work (being 10 per cent. additional upon the special loan of £2,000, which was found insufficient to complete the work for which it was raised), the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable properties of the Te Kuiti Township Special-rating District, as described on page 2543 of the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st day of October, 1909; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.

The foregoing special order was passed at a special meeting of the Waitomo County Council held at the County Office, Te Kuiti, on the 24th day of November, 1909, and will be submitted for confirmation to a meeting of the said Council to be held on the 23rd day of December, 1909.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Borough Council of the Borough of Palmerston North hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000, authorised to be raised by the Borough Council of the Borough of Palmerston North, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of removing two 7 in. water-mains and replacing the same with one 15 in. water-main, for a distance, approximately, of 1·72 miles, from Section 212, Tiritea, to Section 268, Tiritea, the said Borough Council of the Borough of
