NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for selection on renewable lease, and applications will be received at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 29th day of December, 1908, under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1908,” and “The Land for Settlements Act, 1908.”

Altitude, from 480 ft. to 610 ft. above sea-level. Land flat and undulating, practically all ploughable mixed agricultural and pastoral land. Soil good, with a subsoil of clay on a papa formation. With the exception of a small patch of light bush, the land is clear and in English grasses. Watered by several streams. Access from Waipawa, about sixteen miles by good metalled road. The improvements which go with the section comprise 60 chains of fencing, valued at £30, and half-value of 120 chains of fencing along western and southern boundaries, valued at £30; total value, £60.

Undulating to hilly pastoral land, in native and English grasses. About 200 acres ploughable. Elevation, from 520 ft. to 760 ft. above sea-level. Manuka scrub in patches. Soil good, on clay-and-papa foundation. The section is connected with the metalled road from Waipawa by one mile and three-quarters of unformed road. Watered by several streams. The improvements which go with the section comprise half-value of 135 chains of fencing along western and southern boundaries, valued at £33 15s.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral runs will be offered for license, by public auction, at the District Lands Office, Dunedin, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, the 23rd day of December, 1908, under the provisions of Part VI of “The Land Act, 1908.”

SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Run 200D, Tuapeka County (Class I): Area, 4,945 acres; term, fourteen years. Upset annual rental, £41.

Run 200E, Tuapeka County (Class I): Area, 4,670 acres; term, fourteen years. Upset annual rental, £39.

Possession will be given on 1st March, 1909.

Part of Ormaglade Station. The country varies from 2,500 ft. to 3,270 ft. above sea-level. The vegetation is mostly snow-grass on the higher elevations, and white-tussock on the lower. Situated about twelve miles from Miller’s Flat Post-office.
