Special Order made by the Council of the County of Waimarino.

THE following special order, made by the Waimarino County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Waimarino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the Middle Road from its junction with the Raetihi–Ohura Road to its intersection with the northern boundary of Section 2, Block XIV, of the Manganui Survey District, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Middle Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1 and 2, Block XIV, of the Manganui Survey District; Sections 9, 10, and 11, Block II, of the Makotuku Survey District; and Sections 5, 6, and 8, Block III, of the Makotuku Survey District, and being a portion of the Manganui Riding of the Waimarino County, and having its boundaries as follows—commencing at the north-east corner of Section 6, Block III, Makotuku Survey District; thence south by the east boundaries of Sections 6, 5, and 8, Block III, Makotuku Survey District, and Section 11, Block II, Makotuku Survey District, to the south-east corner of Section 11, Block II, Makotutu Survey District; thence west by the south boundary of Section 11, Block II, Makotuku Survey District, to the east side of the Middle Road; thence south by the east side of the Middle Road to the Raetihi–Ohura Road; thence west by the Raetihi–Ohura Road to the west side of the Middle Road; thence north by the west side of the Middle Road to the south boundary of Section 9, Block II, Makotuku Survey District; thence west by the south boundary of that section to its west boundary; thence north by the west boundary of Sections 9 and 10, Block II, Makotuku Survey District, and 1 and 2, Block XIV, Manganui Survey District, to the north boundary of Section 2, Block XIV, Manganui Survey District; thence east by the north boundary of that section, by the Middle Road, and by the north boundary of Section 6, Block III, Makotuku Survey District, to the starting-point: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in one sum on the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum. It is also proposed to pay out of the loan-moneys the first year’s interest on the loan.

I, Philip George Smith, Chairman of the Waimarino County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Waimarino County Council held on the 19th day of October, 1908, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Waimarino County Council held on the 23rd day of November, 1908.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Waimarino County Council has been hereunto affixed.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Karori.

THE following special order, made by the Karori Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

KARORI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendments, the Council of the Borough of Karori hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, and authorised to be raised by the Karori Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for levelling, laying out, improving, and planting the Recreation Reserve, and the erection thereon of the necessary buildings, the said Karori Borough Council hereby makes and levies (by special order) a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Karori; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Council of the Borough of Karori held on the 11th day of August, 1908, and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 8th day of September, 1908.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Waipawa.

THE following special order, made by the Waipawa Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

BOROUGH OF WAIPAWA.

Special Order.—Water-supply Loan, £7,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Waipawa Borough Act, 1907,” “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” the Waipawa Borough Council doth hereby, by special order, resolve and enact—

  1. That the special order made and confirmed by the Waipawa Town Board upon the 29th day of April, 1907, making and levying a special rate of 2³⁄₈d. in the pound on all rateable property of the Waipawa Town District, to provide for interest and other charges on the water-supply loan of £7,000, authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Town Board, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same, shall be and the same is hereby revoked, and in lieu thereof the Waipawa Borough Council doth hereby, by special order, resolve and enact—

  2. That, for the purpose of providing interest and sinking fund and other charges in connection with the said special loan raised by the Waipawa Town Board, under the authority aforesaid, and known as the water-supply loan of £7,000, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅞d. in the pound upon the rateable unimproved values of all rateable property of the Waipawa Borough, the boundaries of the said borough being described in the Schedule to “The Waipawa Borough Act, 1907”; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, computed from the 1st day of January, 1907, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be £5 per centum per annum, and the amount of sinking fund to be £1 per centum per annum.

  3. That this special order shall take effect upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Waipawa Borough Council held on Wednesday, the 23rd day of September, 1908, and was confirmed as a special order at a special meeting of the said Council held at the Council Chambers, Waipawa, on Saturday, the 24th day of October, 1908.
