Maori Lands in the Hawke’s Bay Land District for Lease by Public Tender under the Provisions of “The Maori Lands Administration Act, 1900,” and its Amendments.

Office of the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board, Gisborne, 6th November, 1908.

THE undermentioned blocks of land, situate in the Counties of Waiapu, Wairoa, and Whakatane, will be offered for lease by public tender for a term of twenty-five years, with a right of renewal for a further term of twenty-five years. Applications will be received for the same at the office of the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board, Gisborne, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 23rd day of December, 1908, where plans and full particulars may be obtained.

Soil good; land much broken. Entirely covered with heavy bush, consisting principally of tawa, with an admixture of rimu, matai, and kahikatea. About fourteen miles from Port Awanui. About 500 ft. to 1,800 ft. above sea-level.

Soil generally good; land broken. Entirely covered with bush, consisting principally of tawa, with an admixture of rimu, matai, and kahikatea. About seventeen miles from Port Awanui. It has an altitude of from about 500 ft. to 1,800 ft. above sea-level.
