Land set apart for Settlement.

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the seventy-fifth section of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

WHEREAS by section seventy-five of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that before any moneys as therein mentioned are expended upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the said block be proclaimed as set apart for settlement: And whereas by section two hundred and sixty-eight of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Minister of Finance may from time to time, in accordance with sections seventy-five to seventy-seven of the first-mentioned Act, issue and apply moneys as therein mentioned for the purposes therein set forth in connection with national endowment land: And whereas the block of land described in the Schedule hereto is national endowment land:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred on me by the above-mentioned Acts, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Acts, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

Lands withdrawn from State Forests.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto are State forests under the control of the Commissioner of State Forests appointed under “The State Forests Act, 1903” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and the said lands are now no longer required for State-forest purposes: And whereas plans showing the extent and position of the said lands, and a statement of the reasons why they are no longer required for State-forest purposes, have been laid before both Houses of Parliament for a period of thirty days, and no resolution has been passed by either of such Houses objecting to the issue of this Proclamation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred by section twenty-eight of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Proclamations specified in the second column of the Schedule hereto, so far as they relate to the lands described in the first column of the Schedule hereto, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette; and doth hereby proclaim and declare that from and after such date the parcels of land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be no longer subject to the provisions of the said Act,
