COMPLETE specifications relating to the undermentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

Extract from Specification.—It consists of an endless traveling-screen, upon which the hop-vines are thrown, and through which the hops upon their stems are caused to depend, and means for severing the hops from the stems.

Claims.—(1.) The described process for extracting metals from their ores consisting in effecting a circulation of the solution and a heating of the same through the introduction of superheated steam into the circulatory channel. (2.) The described process consisting in injecting superheated steam into an ore-reducing solution, whereby to agitate and superheat the solution. (3.) The described process consisting in introducing superheated steam into a contracted circulatory conduit in open communication with a solution-tank, whereby the steam will act as a heating medium and serve to maintain the circulation.
