Recreation Reserve in Hawke's Bay Land District brought
under Part II of "The Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908."

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second
day of October, 1908.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-sixth section of "The Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908," I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the
reserve for recreation in the Hawke's Bay Land District
described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to
be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and
such reserve shall hereafter be known as Tiniroto Domain,
and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public
domain.
SCHEDULE.
TINIROTO DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being
Sections Nos. 8, 14, and 15, Tiniroto Village, Cook County.
Bounded towards the north by road-line, 400 links; towards
the east by Sections Nos. 9 and 13, 1000 links; towards the
south by road-line, 400 links; and towards the west by
Sections Nos. 7 and 16, 1000 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. 1142, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

altered.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth
day of November, 1908.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS a petition has been presented to the
Governor, under section one hundred and eighteen
of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," praying the
Governor to alter the boundaries of the City of Wellington
and of the Borough of Onslow by excluding from the said
Borough of Onslow the area mentioned in the said petition
and including it in the City of Wellington: And whereas
a notice showing the proposed alteration in boundaries of
the said city and the said borough has been gazetted and
publicly notified, and no objections in writing to, or petitions
against, such alteration have been lodged:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities vested in him by "The Municipal Cor-
porations Act, 1908," His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby declare that, as on and from the first day
of April, one thousand nine hundred and nine, the area
described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the
Borough of Onslow and shall be included in the City of
Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being part of
Original Section No. 3, Block XI, Belmont Survey District,
bounded towards the north and north-east by the Well-
ton and Manawatu Railway Company's land, bearing 97° 34',
distance 385·7 links; bearing 131° 36' 40", distance 322·6
links; and bearing 131° 23' 40", distance 1026 links: towards
the east by Military Reserve, bearing 180° 49'. distance
355·1 links; towards the south-east by the Wellington and
Manawatu Railway Company's land, bearing 206° 31' 30",
distance 299 links; and towards the south-west by the City
of Wellington: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
1908/2510, deposited in the office of the Minister of Internal
Affairs, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-ninth
day of December, one thousand nine hundred and
five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1, of
the eleventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and
six, regulations prohibiting the use of trawls and trawl-nets
for the purpose of taking fish within that area extending
from the mouth of the Waimakariri River to Okain's Bay
were made:
And whereas it is desirable to modify such regulations:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon him by "The Fisheries Act, 1908,"
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that
behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make
the following regulation:-
REGULATION.
Clause 1 of the Lyttelton trawling regulations, made by
Order in Council dated the twenty-ninth day of December,
one thousand nine hundred and five, is modified by adding
the following words at the end of that clause, viz.:-
Provided that when it becomes necessary for a trawling-
vessel to run for shelter in bad weather it shall be lawful for
her when doing so to tow her trawling-gear without hauling
up her net when crossing the area within which trawling is
prohibited.

Vesting Land in Maori Land Board under Section 24 of
"The Maori Land Claims Adjustment and Laws Amend-
ment Act, 1907."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth
day of November, 1908.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-four of “The Maori
Land Claims Adjustment and Laws Amendment
Act, 1907,” it is provided that the Governor may, by Order
in Council, declare that any portion of any block of Maori
land, not exceeding in any one case an area of five acres,
which in the opinion of the Native Minister is suitable as
a site for a fruit-preserving factory, dairy factory, cheese-
factory, or creamery, or for any building required for any
religious, charitable, educational, or public purpose, and the
said land shall thereupon vest in the Board accordingly;
And whereas the Native Minister is of opinion that it is
expedient that the land particularised and set out in the
Schedule hereto should be dealt with as aforesaid:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the said land
shall vest in the Aotea District Maori Land Board as a site
for a building for religious and social purposes.
