Writ.
To the Returning Officer for the Northern Maori Electoral District.
IN pursuance of Part IV of “The Legislature Act, 1908,” I hereby authorise and require you to proceed, according to law, to the election of a member of Parliament to serve in the House of Representatives for the Northern Maori Electoral District.
I further direct that you cause the nomination of the said member to be at the Courthouse, Korarareka (Russell), on the twelfth day of November, 1908, and, in the event of the election being contested, that the poll shall be taken on the second day of December, 1908.
You are further required to indorse on this writ the name of the person so elected, and then to return the writ to me on or before the twenty-third day of December, 1908.
Dated at Wellington, this thirty-first day of October, 1908.

I further direct that you cause the nomination of the said member to be at the Government Buildings, Gisborne, on the twelfth day of November, 1908, and, in the event of the election being contested, that the poll shall be taken on the second day of December, 1908.
You are further required to indorse on this writ the name of the person so elected, and then to return the writ to me on or before the twenty-third day of December, 1908.
