WHEREAS by “The Legislature Act, 1908,” it is enacted that upon new electoral rolls being formed every Registrar of Electors shall give notice thereof to the Minister of Internal Affairs, who shall publish the fact in the Gazette:

Notifying Issue of Writs, Date of Polling, &c.
Clerk of the Writs’ Office,
Wellington, 31st October, 1908.
IN pursuance of a Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, dated the 30th day of October, 1908, directed to me as Clerk of the Writs, I have this day issued writs to all Returning Officers commanding them to proceed to the election of members of Parliament for electoral districts (other than Maori electoral districts), and have fixed Tuesday, the 17th day of November, 1908, as the day upon which the poll for such elections shall (if necessary) be taken, and Saturday, the 21st day of November, 1908, as the day on or before which the said writs shall be returnable to me.
