WHEREAS the district electors list for the Borough of Oamaru for the year 1908–9, which should have been made out as provided by section thirteen of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” was in error made in the form prescribed by the regulations made under the provisions of “The Municipal Franchise Reform Act, 1898,” with the exception that the numbers which were required to be filled in in the first column of the First Schedule to such regulations were omitted: And whereas such lists in such form were amended and corrected by the Council of the said borough at a meeting held on the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight, as provided by section eighteen of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” but the formalities required by paragraph 9 of the regulations of the fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one, made under such Act so far as relate to the signing and certifying thereto were not properly complied with, but the numbers have since been inserted in the said first column of the said lists, and they have been certified to and signed by the Mayor, two Councillors, and the Town Clerk of the said borough: And whereas the said lists, although not in the form of the First Schedule to the said regulations of the fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and one, contain all the information required thereby: And whereas no one has been misled, prejudiced, or affected by reason of such irregularities, and it is expedient to validate the aforesaid irregularities:
