“THE COMPANIES ACT, 1903.”

LYONS LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary
general meeting of the members of the above-named
company, duly convened, and held at the registered office of
the company on the 20th day of January, 1908, the follow-
ing extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this
meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its lia-
bilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to
wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be
wound up voluntarily; and that HENRY IVORY, of Welling-
ton, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator
for the purpose of such winding-up.”

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1905.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch Tramway
Board, a body corporate, incorporated under the
provisions of “The Christchurch Tramways Act, 1906,”
proposes to take, under the provisions of “The Public
Works Act, 1905,” all that parcel of land situate in the
Sydenham Ward of the City of Christchurch, containing by
admeasurement twenty-six perches and one-third of a perch,
being part of Rural Section No. 176 on the map or plan of
the Chief Surveyor of the Provincial District of Canterbury,
commencing at a point in the said section, the said point
bearing 232° 22′ south-westerly from the Government
standard survey pipe “C,” at the junction of Moorhouse
Avenue and Falsgrave Street, and being distant therefrom
six hundred and sixty links and one-fifth of a link; thence
in a northerly direction along a line bearing 359° 49′ 05″, a
distance of one hundred and three links; thence in an
easterly direction along a line bearing 89° 49′ 05″, a distance of
one hundred and seventy-seven links and sixty-seven
hundredths of a link; thence in a south-westerly direction
along a line bearing 198° 49′, a distance of one hundred
and eight links and nine-tenths of a link, and returning
thence in a westerly direction along a line bearing
269° 49′ 05″, a distance of one hundred and forty-two links
and one-fifth of a link, to the commencing-point for the
purpose of constructing tram yard and sheds thereon.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the
land required to be taken, and the names of the owners and
occupiers of such lands so far as they can be ascertained, is
deposited at the office of the said Christchurch Tramway
Board, Falsgrave Street, Christchurch, where the same lies
open for public inspection daily, without fee, during all
reasonable hours; and that all persons affected shall, if
they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such
lands, or any of them, or to the execution of such work, set
forth in writing such objection, and send such writing,
within forty days from the date of the first publication of
this notice, being the twenty-seventh day of January, one
thousand nine hundred and eight, addressed to the Chair-
man of the Christchurch Tramway Board, at the office of
the Board, Falsgrave Street, Christchurch.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
between the undersigned, carrying on business at
Morven and elsewhere as Chaff-cutters, under the style or
firm of “BURNS AND BATCHELOR,” has been dissolved as from
the date hereof by mutual consent. The undersigned
Patrick Burns shall take over and carry on the said busi-
ness, and shall receive or pay and discharge all the debts
and liabilities owing to or by the late partnership.
