Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 14th October, 1908.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the undermentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

No. 23594.—21st October, 1907.—JOHN ANDREW JAMIESON, 4 Russell Terrace, Newtown, Wellington, New Zealand, Tram-conductor. Improved holder or grip for issuing tickets on tram-cars.*


Claim.—An improved ticket holder or grip for holding securely tram-tickets while they are being issued, comprising in combination (1) a plate or strip of wood or any other material; (2) pockets or slots; (3) a boss or spindle; (4) spring clips; the said boss or spindle being passed through a hole in the said plate or strip, and having the said spring clips riveted on either end of the said boss or spindle, the said spring clips being adapted to be revolved.

Claims.—(1.) In lifting-jacks, means for operating the lifting-bar, comprising, in combination, a chain pulley mounted in the jack-frame, a gear wheel attached to such pulley, a pinion secured upon an operating-shaft and geared with the gear wheel, and a chain passing over the chain pulley and connected to the lifting-bar, substantially as specified. (2.) The general arrangement, construction, and combination of parts in my new construction of lifting-jack, substantially as described and explained, as illustrated in the drawings, and for the several purposes set forth.
