In the matter of Bignell's No Town Gold-dredging Com-
pany (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary
general meeting of the above-named company, duly
convened, and held at the registered office of the company,
91A Princes Street, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 27th day
of August, 1908, the following special resolution was duly
passed; and at an extraordinary general meeting of the
said company, also duly convened, and held at the same
place on Thursday, the 10th day of September, 1908, the
following resolution was duly confirmed, viz. :—

"That Bignell's No Town Gold-dredging Company (Li-
mited) be wound up voluntarily."

And at such last-mentioned meeting WILLIAM EDWIN
MONTAGUE was appointed liquidator for the purposes of
such winding-up.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Rox-
burgh.

PURSUANT to "The Mining Act, 1908," the under-
signed, Robert John Wilson, of Roxburgh, hereby
hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in
the Schedule hereto, and which has been duly held and
marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner's right: 22nd September,
1908, No. 69878.

Address for service: Care of J. Burton, Mining Agent,
Roxburgh.

Dated at Roxburgh, this 23rd day of September, 1908.

Locality of the race and its starting and terminal
points : Commencing at a point in the western boundary of
Section 14, Block III, Teviot Survey District, and running
up, below the road, and terminating in said Section 13,
being the applicant's private land. Pegs marked D.

Length and intended course of race : 80 yards; north-
east.

Contents of intake : One.

Estimated time and cost of construction : Two days; £1.

Term of license applied for : 42 years.

Number of heads to be diverted : One head of surplus
water.

Purpose for which water is to be used : Irrigation and
driving chaff-cutting machinery.

Proposed term of license : Forty-two years.

Precise time of marking out privilege applied for : 4.30
p.m., 22nd September, 1908.

signed, John Small, of Roxburgh, hereby applies
hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in
the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly
marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner's right: 26th March, 1908;
No. 68030.

Dated at Roxburgh, the 17th day of September, 1908.

Locality of the race and its starting and terminal
points : Section 14, Block I, Teviot District. Commencing
at the upstream boundary running through applicant's land
above the main road, and terminating in said section, about
10 chains from commencement, and 3 chains from the main
block, being applicant's private land. Pegs marked D.

Length and intended course of race : 10 chains; in a
southerly direction.

Points of intake : One at head of race.

Estimated time and cost of construction : Fourteen days;
£5.

Mean depth and breadth : 9 in. by 18in.

Number of heads to be diverted : One.

Purpose for which water is to be used : Irrigation and
water-power.

Proposed term of license : Forty-two years.

Precise time of marking out privilege applied for : 9 a.m.,
3rd September, 1908.

No. 69936.

Cromwell.

Dated at Cromwell, this 3rd day of October, 1908.

Schedule.

Locality of the race and its starting and terminal
points : Out of Deep Creek, Tarras, in Crown lands, Run
198, Block X, Leaning Rock Survey District, about 10 chains
from Commissioner's Road, and running in a southerly direction
half a mile, going through Sections 14 and 15, Block I,
Tarras Survey District, Crown lands, and returning to Deep
Creek, in said Section 15, and discharging water back into
Deep Creek.

Length and intended course of race : Three miles and a
half; south-easterly course.

Contents of intake : Six heads and a half.

Estimated time and cost of construction : One week; £20.

Term of license applied for : One head; 42 years.

Number of heads to be diverted : Half-head.

Purpose for which water is to be used : For watering
stock.

Proposed term of license : Forty-two years.
