lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
a certain road near Burnham Railway-station, on the Lyttel-
ton-Bluff Railway, situated in the County of Selwyn,
and described in the Schedule hereto, and which said road
has hitherto been a Government road within the meaning
of the said Act, shall, on and after the date of this Order in
Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury,
containing 3 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being a
portion of Reserve No. 1636, situated in Block II, Leeston
Survey District, and being a portion of land near Burnham
Railway-station taken for a road-diversion in connection
with the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway by a Proclamation
dated the 12th day of April, 1907, and published in the New
Zealand Gazette
No. 35, of the 18th day of April, 1907; as
the said parcel of land is more particularly shown coloured
red on plan marked 15134, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Railways, at Wellington.

Authorising the Laying-off of Streets in Sections 13 and 14, and
Parts of Sections 15 and 16, Ocean Beach Survey District,
Dunedin, of a Width less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth
day of October, 1908.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and seventy-eight
of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," it is,
inter alia, provided that where the configuration of any
borough is such as that within any particular area or areas
thereof it is difficult or inexpedient to construct streets of
the width of sixty feet as required by the said Act, the
Governor may, by Order in Council defining the limits of
such particular area or areas, authorise the Council to
permit within such area or areas the construction of streets
or private streets of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not
less than forty feet:

And whereas the configuration of the City of Dunedin is
such that within the area described in the Schedule hereto
it is inexpedient to construct streets of a width of sixty-six
feet:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers
vested in him by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,"
and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this
behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
permit, within the area described in the Schedule hereto,
the laying-off of streets within the said area of a width less
than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land in the Otago Land District, situate
in the City of Dunedin, comprising Sections 13 and 14, and
parts of Sections 15 and 16, Ocean Beach Survey District;
as the said land is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked R. 10074, deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District, and thereon shown by a pink border.

Altering Boundaries of the Otago and Southland Land
Registration Districts.

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth
day of October, 1908.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section three of "The Land Transfer
Act, 1908," it is enacted that the Governor, by
Order in Council, may from time to time alter the bound-
aries of any Land Transfer Registration District under the
said Act:

And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the
Otago and Southland Land Registration Districts in manner
hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers hereinbefore
recited, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me
in that behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, hereby order and declare that the boundaries of
the said Otago and Southland Districts shall, on and after
the fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and
eight, be as described and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Dominion of New Zealand bounded
towards the north generally by a right line from the
northern side of Big Bay to Mount Aspiring; thence by the
summit of the Southern Alps to Brodrick's Pass; thence by
the Canterbury Land Registration District, as described in
the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, of the 19th July, 1900, to
the mouth of the Waitaki River; thence towards the south-
east generally by the ocean to the eastern boundary of
Waikawa Survey District; thence towards the west
generally by the Waikawa, Mokoreta, Slopedown, Waikaka,
Chatton, Wendon, Waikaia, Gap, and Rockyside Survey
Districts to the north-eastern corner of Rockyside Survey
District and to the south-east corner of Run 328A, in the
Lorn Survey District; thence by the said run and the
Kingston Survey District to Lake Wakatipu, and along the
south-east, south, and western shores of Lake Wakatipu
to the Greenstone River, and by that river, a line south-
westerly to the south-east boundary of Run 431, in Von
Survey District, and by the south-east boundary of Run 431
to the watershed between the sources of the Greenstone
River and the Mararoa River; thence by that watershed to
David Peaks, by the summit of the watershed between the
source of the Greenstone River and the Eglington River, by
the summit of the watershed between the Hollyford River
and the Eglington River to Mount Anau; thence by the
summit of the leading range to Homer's Saddle; thence
by the summit of the watershed between the Hollyford
River and the Cleddau River to Tutoko Peak; thence by
the summit of the leading range to Pembroke Peak; thence
by a line along the summit of the watershed between John
o' Groat's River and Thurso River to the sea at Stripe
Point, about one mile and a half south of the mouth of John
o' Groat's River; thence northerly by the ocean to the
northern side of Big Bay, the commencing-point: and
including the adjacent islands.

SOUTHLAND LAND REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
All that area in the Dominion of New Zealand bounded
as follows: Commencing on the north-west at Stripe Point,
about one mile and a half south of the mouth of John
o' Groat's River; thence generally southerly and easterly by
the ocean to the south-east corner of Waikawa Survey
District; thence generally northerly and westerly to the
commencing-point by the Otago Land Registration District
above described: including Stewart Island and the adjacent
islands.

Act, 1908," it is enacted that the Governor, by
Order in Council, may from time to time define and alter
the limits of any Deeds Registration District under the said
Act:

And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the
Otago and Southland Deeds Registration Districts in
manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers hereinbefore
recited, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me
in that behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, hereby order and declare that the boundaries of
