Native Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Maunu No. 1e No. 3 North No. 5a, Block XI, Purua Survey District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, 1908.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purposes of a road in Maunu No. 1e No. 3 North No. 5a, Block XI, Purua Survey District:

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:

And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the ninetieth section of “The Public Works Act, 1908”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the ninetieth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the said road as from the fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
