Land taken for a Road in Horowhenua 11a, Section A7, Block I, Waiopelu Survey District, Horowhenua County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1908,” for a certain work, to wit, for the purpose of a road in Horowhenua 11A, Section A7, Block I, Waiopelu Survey District, Horowhenua County:

And whereas the Horowhenua County Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said road.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Revoking Proclamation exempting Crown Land from Occupation under “The Mining Act, 1908.”

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by “The Mining Act, 1908,” and all other powers enabling me in this behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Proclamation published in Gazette No. 90, of the seventeenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seven, exempting that area of land situated in the Hauraki Mining District and described in the Schedule hereto from occupation for mining purposes, or for water-races, dams, or reservoirs, or for machine, business, or residence sites, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 128 acres, more or less, situated in Block IX, Te Aroha Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a public road bounding Te Ruakaka Block; towards the north-east by parts of Sections Nos. 17B and 17D, being subdivisions of Original Section No. 17, Block IX aforesaid; towards the south-east generally by part of Section No. 17A, and part of Te Aroha Township and railway reserve; and towards the south-west by a public road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked Mines,

1906/617, deposited in the Head Office, Mines Department, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Appointing a Day for the Election of Members of the Whangarei Harbour Board.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the eighth section of “The Whangarei Harbour Act, 1907,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor shall, by Proclamation, appoint a day, not exceeding forty days after the date of such Proclamation, for the election of the members of the first Board:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the hereinafore-recited power and authority, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and appoint Wednesday, the eleventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eight, to be the day for the election of the first members of the Whangarei Harbour Board.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Land set apart as an Addition to Nireaha Village Settlement, Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-third section of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the allotment of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart as an addition to Nireaha Village Settlement.
