Appointment of Trustees, Waikino Rifle Range Reserve.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by “The Defence Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby constitute and appoint

Lieutenant-Colonel EDMUND WILLIAM PORRITT, 2nd Battalion, Auckland (Hauraki) Infantry Volunteers;
Major ARTHUR TOM KENRICK, 2nd Battalion, Auckland (Hauraki) Infantry Volunteers; and
ALFRED SUTTON, Esq., President, Waikino Defence Rifle Club,

to be Trustees of all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District being Section No. 28, Block XIV, Ohinemuri Survey District, containing 17 acres 3 roods 3 perches, more or less; together with all buildings erected thereon; to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a rifle range for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Act. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Waikino Rifle Range Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Appointment of Trustees, Petone Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by “The Defence Act, 1908” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby constitute and appoint

Lieutenant OSCAR VINCENT ELLIS, No. 2 Company, Wellington Division of Garrison Artillery Volunteers;
Lieutenant RICHARD PRICE, No. 2 Company, Wellington Division of Garrison Artillery Volunteers; and
Acting-Lieutenant HARRY STUART NORTON ROBINSON, No. 2 Company, Wellington Division of Garrison Artillery Volunteers,

to be Trustees of all that piece or parcel of land, containing 1 rood 1 perch, more or less, being Allotments Nos. 82, 84, and part of 86 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office, Wellington, No. 101, which said land is part of Section No. 5 in the public map of the Hutt District, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington; together with all buildings erected thereon; to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Act. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Petone Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Declaring Road-lines through Land in the Te Arai Settlement to be closed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under “The Land for Settlements Act, 1908,” and are not suitable for the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described, and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1908,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eight, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
