A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the seventy-fifth section of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908" (herein termed "the said Act"), it is, amongst other things, enacted that before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

As the same is delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above noted.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Oamaru No. 3 Block (17,000 Acres).

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 17,000 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XII and XVI, Waioeka; Block IV, Waioeka South; Blocks IX, X. XIII, and XIV, Urutawa; and Blocks I and II, Motu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a right line from the north-easternmost corner of Section No. 1, Block XVI, Waioeka Survey District, to Trig. Station No. 5, in Block IX, Urutawa Survey District; towards the north by a right line from the said Trig. Station No. 5 to Trig. Station No. 12, in Block X of the last-mentioned district, and thence by a right line due east to the Pakiri River; towards the east generally by the said river, by Crown land (formerly known as Oamaru Nos. 6 and 7A Blocks), and by the boundary between the Auckland and
