section eleven of "The Land Act, 1908," I, William
Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, with the consent of the owner of the lands
hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Akitio
County Council, being the local authority in whose district
the said lands are situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim
as taken for a road the lands in Aohanga and Waimata
Survey Districts described in the Schedule hereto.

Closing a Government Road, known as Thorpe Street, Town
of Paeroa, in Block XIII, Ohinemuri Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three,
subsection (c), of "The Public Works Act, 1908," it
is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly
notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road
or any part thereof:

And whereas the Government road described in the
Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a
road in the Town of Paeroa, Block XIII, Ohinemuri Survey
District:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of
the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as
stopped the road in Block XIII, Ohinemuri Survey District,
hereinafter described.

Section).

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the North Island
Main Trunk Railway from a point at or near Marton to
Te Awamutu, via Murimotu, Taumarunui, and the Ongarue
River Valley (portion of the Paengaroa Section), to take
further land at Taihape, in addition to land previously
acquired for the purposes of the said railway;
