COMPLETE specifications relating to the undermen-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been
accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition
to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth
the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A
fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

Claims.—(1.) In an apparatus for attachment to road
wagons or drays, the formation of section of rail-plate,
channel-plate, and links, as described. (2.) The guide-frames
D mounted on centres K at one end, and supported by slide-
rests L near the other end, at each side of a road wagon or
dray, to carry guide-pulleys E to control the chain of rail-
plates. (3.) The levers G attached to the loose end of the
guide-frames and to the undercarriages, to move the guide-
frames in the same part of a circle as the undercarriages.
(4.) In an apparatus for attachment to road wagons or drays,
the double-flanged tire, the adjustable flanges, and the
central-flanged tire. (5.) Hollow column I containing com-
pression-spring, supporting frame, and double-flanged roller,
for the purpose stated. (6.) The slide-rests L.

of America, Inventor). Improvements in or relating to
buffing or like machines used in the manufacture of boots or
shoes.

Claims.—(1.) In a buffing-machine, the combination with
a pad-carrying support of a cover-applying device, and
means to move it toward and from said support, for use in
applying a cover to the latter. (2.) In a buffing-machine, the
combination with a pad-carrying spindle of a pad-cover
applying device mounted in proximity to said spindle, and
movable into and out of operative position relative to and
for assisting in applying a pad-cover to a pad on said spindle.
(3.) In a buffing-machine, the combination with a pad-carrying
support of a transferable cover-applying device, and means
to transfer it to cover-applying position. (4.) In a buffing-
machine, the combination with a pad-carrying support of
a transferable cover-applying device, and means to centre
it in cover-applying position, and also in normal inoperative
position. (5.) In a buffing-machine, the combination with
a pad-carrying support of a pad-cover applying device
mounted in proximity to said support and transferable into
and out of applying position relative to said support, and
operating means therefor transferable therewith.

Claims.—(1.) A new game apparatus consisting in the com-
bination of (a) a toy cannon, comprising a block, a piece of
sheet metal formed with a barrel, a second piece of sheet
metal formed into a magazine and strap, a piece of spring-
wire shaped to form a trigger, a sight, and a projector; (b) a
board or table with a plurality of forts, flags, soldiers, and
objects arranged to be shot at and capsized; (c) a plurality
of guards, each provided with a port, preferably one guard
and one port at each corner of the table. (2.) As a new
article of manufacture, a game apparatus comprising (a) a
toy cannon, comprising a block, a piece of sheet metal formed
