“THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1900,” AND ITS AMENDMENTS, AND “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1905.”
IN pursuance of the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland hereby gives notice that it intends to erect and construct an electric power-station, and do all works and things incidental thereto, and that for the purpose and object of so doing the land described in the Schedule hereto is required and will require to be taken by the said Corporation under the provisions of the above Acts, and that a survey has been made and a plan prepared, signed by Thomas McFarlane, and numbered 14587, showing such land, together with the names of the owners and occupiers thereof so far as they can be ascertained, and that a copy of such plan has been deposited in the office of the Town Clerk of the said Corporation, at the Corporation office, Coburg Street, in the City of Auckland, the place directed by the Corporation, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the 31st day of July, 1908 (being the date of the first publication of this notice), to the Town Clerk, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the shareholders in the above company will be held in the office of the Liquidator of the said company, situate in 12 Hobson Buildings, Shortland Street, Auckland, on Thursday, the 27th day of August, 1908, at 11 o’clock a.m., for the purpose of having laid before it an account showing the manner in which the winding-up of the said company has been conducted and the assets disposed of, and of hearing any explanations that may be given by the Liquidator. The following extraordinary resolution will also be submitted to the said general meeting:—
“That the books and documents of the company be handed over to Grey Thorne George, the purchaser of the assets of the said company.”
