Declaring Land to be subject to Part I of the Native Land
Settlement Act, 1907.

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth
day of August, 1908.

Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section four of the Native Land Settle-
ment Act, 1907, it is enacted that, when and as
often as the Commission referred to therein has reported to
the Governor that any Native land is not required for occu-
pation by the Maori owners, and is available for sale or
leasing, it shall be lawful for the Governor by Order in
Council to declare that such land shall be subject to Part I
of the said Act as from the date of such Order, and the same
shall thereupon become, and at all times thereafter remain,
subject to the said Part I of the said Act accordingly :

And whereas the said Commission has reported that the
Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto are not re-
quired for occupation by the Maori owners, and are available
for sale or leasing :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
in this behalf vested in him by the aforesaid section four,
His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council thereof, doth hereby declare that the
Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto shall, as from
the date of this Order, be subject to Part I of the Native
Land Settlement Act, 1907.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land, containing 2,454 acres
2 roods 30 perches, more or less, situate in Blocks II and III,
Norsewood Survey District, and known as Rakautatahi
No. 1L. Bounded towards the north by the Makaretu
River ; towards the east by Rakautatahi Nos. 2A, 1K, and 5B ;
towards the south by Sections 34, 35, 36, and 37 of Block III,
Norsewood Survey District ; and towards the west by the
Manawatu River and by a forest reserve.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing 529 acres
2 roods 24 perches, more or less, situate in Block III,
Norsewood Survey District, known as Rakautatahi No. 2B.
Bounded towards the north by the Makaretu River ; to-
wards the east by Rakautatahi No. 3A ; towards the south
by Rakautatahi No. 1J ; and towards the west by Rakauta-
tahi No. 2A : excepting out of the said area the undivided
interests of Eraihia Tamawharu, Tatari Tipuna (alias Piri-
hira Wairakare), Tipu Rikiruki, and Te Karini Rikiruki,
which are to be located on partition by the Native Land
Court.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing 19 acres 3 roods
25 perches, more or less, situate in Block I, Takapau Survey
District, and known as Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 1. Bounded
towards the north by the Makaretu River ; towards the east
by Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 2 ; towards the south by Rakau-
tatahi No. 1E ; and towards the west by Rakautatahi No. 3A.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing 53 acres 1 rood
17 perches, more or less, situate in Block I, Takapau
Survey District, and known as Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 2.
Bounded towards the north by the Makaretu River ; to-
wards the east by Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 3B ; towards the
south by Rakautatahi No. 1E ; and towards the west by
Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 1.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing 118 acres
1 rood 11 perches, more or less, situate in Block I, Takapau
Survey District, and known as Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 3B.
Bounded towards the north by the Makaretu River ; to-
wards the east by Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 3A ; towards the
south by Rakautatahi No. 1E ; and towards the west by
Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 2.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing 53 acres
3 roods 25 perches, more or less, situate in Block I, Takapau
Survey District, and known as Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 3A.
Bounded towards the north by the Makaretu River ; to-
wards the east by Rakautatahi No. 1C ; towards the south
by Rakautatahi Nos. 1N and 1E ; and towards the west by
Rakautatahi No. 3B No. 3B.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing 302 acres
2 roods, more or less, situate in Block III, Norsewood
Survey District, and known as Rakautatahi No. 5B.
Bounded towards the north by Rakautatahi No. 1K ; to-
wards the east and south by Rakautatahi No. 1G, and by
Sections 32 and 33 of Block III of the said survey district ;
and towards the west by Rakautatahi No. 1L.

Declaring Road known as Thorpe Street, Town of Paeroa
Ohinemuri County, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth
day of August, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in
him by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and of all
other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare
that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on
and after the date of this Order in Council, be a Govern-
ment road.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three,
subsection (a), of "The Public Works Act, 1905," it
is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county
or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be
deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the
Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained :

And whereas the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board has
applied for such consent in respect to the road described in
the Schedule hereto :
