NATIONAL FIRE AND MARINE INSURANCE COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND.
An Extraordinary General Meeting of the above-named company will be held at the Head Office, Rattray Street, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 3rd day of September, 1908, at 3 p.m., for the purpose of submitting the following resolutions to shareholders:—

That it is desirable to reconstruct the company, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Henry Edward Williams, of Dunedin, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

That the said Liquidator be and is hereby authorised to consent to the registration of a new company to be named “The National Insurance Company of New Zealand (Limited),” with a memorandum and articles of association, which have already been prepared with the privity and approval of the Directors of this company.

That the draft agreement submitted to this meeting, and expressed to be made between this company and its Liquidator, of the one part, and the National Insurance Company of New Zealand (Limited), of the other part, be and the same is hereby approved, and that the said Liquidator be and is hereby authorised, pursuant to section 259 of “The Companies Act, 1903,” to enter into an agreement with such new company (when incorporated) in the terms of the said draft, and to carry the same into effect, with such (if any) modifications as may be deemed expedient.
If the resolutions are duly passed, they will be submitted for confirmation as special resolutions to another extraordinary meeting which will be subsequently convened.

CARTERTON FARMERS’ UNION (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
Take notice that a Meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company will be held on Wednesday, the 19th day of August, 1908, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at the Council Chambers, Carterton, for the purpose of laying before such meeting by the Liquidator an account showing the manner in which the winding-up of the above company has been conducted and the assets disposed of, and for the purpose of offering any explanation the Liquidator may wish to give.
