The name of the Postmistress, Ataahua, Christchurch, was changed by marriage on the 1st April, 1908, from Isabella Stewart to Isabella Judson.

After a massive fire destoyed the wooden Parliament complex in 1907, Old Government House (depicted) became the seat of Parliament until 1918. Demolished in 1969 to make way for the Beehive.
