MINING NOTICES.

"THE COMPANIES ACT, 1903."

I, CHARLES HENRY WALTER DIXON, Assistant Registrar of Companies, do hereby give notice that an affidavit, a copy of which is hereunder given, by two Directors of the Takaka Sluicing Company (Limited) has been lodged with me, and that, unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said company to be dissolved in manner provided by "The Companies Act, 1903."

We, William Watson and Sidney Kirkcaldie, Directors of the Takaka Sluicing Company, Ltd., incorporated under "The Companies Act, 1903," do hereby make oath and say—

That the nominal capital of the company is £9,500, in 9,500 shares of £1 each.

That 9,120 of the said shares only have been subscribed.

That the 9,120 shares have been fully paid up.

That the company has no assets, and has ceased to carry on business.

And we do hereby apply for declaration of dissolution of such company.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO RENEW WATER-RACE LICENSE.

To the Mining Registrar at Queenstown of the Otago Mining District, and all other persons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to renew my Water-race License No. 304, 4/6/'93 (being a renewal of No. 301, 4/6/'78), to divert and use water for mining purposes, the description of which in said License No. 304 is as follows: Commencing at a point in Pleasant Creek, Upper Shotover, by the "Clay Hill," from a dam 16 ft. high granted by Warden Hickson, thence on the south side of Pleasant Creek across 5 acres of slip country that is piled and scrubbed to keep the slip up, and terminating at my claim on the eastern side of Pleasant Creek Terrace, Upper Shotover; and that such renewed license shall be subject to the same annual payment and to the like conditions, and shall confer the like privileges, including the right of renewal, as were and are conferred by the said License No. 304.

The length of such race is two miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is about east and west down the side of Pleasant Creek, north and south or thereabouts across Pleasant Creek Terrace, and thence about east and west to my claim.

Term of renewal license to be fifteen years, with right of renewal at end of said term.

The mean depth of such race is 2 ft., and the mean breadth is 2 ft. 6 in., and it is proposed to divert ten Government heads of water, being the quantity of water already held under the said License No. 304. Priority to the said water to date from and including the 4th June, 1878, and preserving all other priorities and rights of every description to the said race. Time and cost of construction: Already constructed.

Together with extension of head of said Race No. 304 as granted under certificate of registration, No. 59376, 11/2/'95,

and described as commencing at a point about 73 yards higher up Pleasant Creek, Upper Shotover, than where its present registered head is situated, and terminating at the present registered head of said Water-race No. 301, Renewal 304. Length of extension is 73 yards or thereabouts, and its intended course is east and west or thereabouts; depth, 2 ft.; breadth, 2 ft. 6 in.; to carry ten Government heads of water.

Together with authority to occupy an additional area of 14 ft. on both sides of said Water-race No. 304 throughout the entire length of such race, excluding the width of the said water-race, for the preservation of such water-race in a proper state of efficiency, such authority being held under certificate of registration, No. 46528, 14/8/'93, and indorsed on said License No. 304.

THE MOANATAIARI EXTENDED GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, held on the 11th day of June, 1908, the subjoined resolution was passed, and confirmed as a special resolution at a subsequent meeting, held on the 3rd day of July, 1908:—

"That it is required that the company be wound up voluntarily."

At the last-named meeting the undersigned was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.
