COMPLETE specifications relating to the undermentioned applications for Letters Patent have been accepted, and are open to public inspection at this office. Any person may, at any time within two months from the date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing of opposition to the grant of any such patent. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.

No. 23043.—25th June, 1907.—WALTER WATSON, Carpenter, and WILLIAM CRAIG, Gentleman, both of Wanganui, New Zealand. An improved method of, and means for use in, dressing flax and the like.

Claims.—(1.) In means for dressing flax and like fibres, in combination, a pair of feed-rollers mounted one above the other on horizontal axes, a water-chute having an inclined table as one of its sides and above the upper end of which the feed-rollers are mounted, and a swinging water-nozzle adapted to direct a stream of water upon the periphery of the lower roller of such feed-rollers, substantially as and for the purposes specified. (2.) In means for dressing flax and like fibres, a water-chute embodying an inclined table, a pair of rollers mounted one above the other at the top end of such table, the upper one of such rollers being formed with an enlargement fitting into a corresponding depression in the
