Names of Persons deemed to be entitled to Land under the Provisions of “The South Island Landless Natives Act, 1906,” in the Waiau, Wairaurahiri, Waikawa, and Lord’s River (Stewart Island) Blocks, Southland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by section eight of “The South Island Landless Natives Act, 1906,” it is provided that the names of the persons deemed to be entitled to certificates of title, together with the respective areas allotted them, shall be published in the Kahiti, together with the name of the locality and the sectional number of the land so allotted; and such publication shall form the basis of title, and shall operate provisionally as such for the purpose of exchange, subdivision, or the reduction of areas as hereinafter provided:

And whereas inquiry has been duly made, and the persons whose names are enumerated in the Schedule hereto have been awarded the land set opposite their respective names:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the Natives enumerated in the Schedule hereto are entitled to the areas of land set opposite their respective names, being part of the lands proclaimed and set apart under the Act hereinbefore mentioned.
