Appointment of Chairman of the Special Board of Conciliators for the Hearing of an Industrial Dispute between the Auckland Electric Tramways Union and Employers.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS the Registrar is satisfied that the persons elected to be the members of the Special Board of Conciliators for the hearing of an industrial dispute between the Auckland Electric Tramways Union and employers (being the electing authorities) have failed to elect a Chairman of the Special Board:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1905,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

ALEXANDER McARTHUR, Stipendiary Magistrate, of Wellington,

to be Chairman of the said Special Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Notice of Election of Members and Chairman of the Special Board of Conciliators for the Hearing of an Industrial Dispute between the Auckland Electric Tramways Union and Employers.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Acts Compilation Act, 1905,” I, Edward Tregear, Registrar of Industrial Unions under the Act, do hereby notify that

PAUL MAXIMILIAN HANSEN, Tramway Director, and EVELYN HARRY MORRIS, Tramway Inspector,

representing the employers, and

HENRY CARTER, Motorman, and GEORGE SHEERY, Conductor,

representing the workers, have been elected members; and that

ALEXANDER McARTHUR, Stipendiary Magistrate, of Wellington,

has been elected Chairman, of the Special Board of Conciliators for the hearing of an industrial dispute between the Auckland Electric Tramways Union and the employers.
