PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS an article of diet known as Sanitas Malted Nuts is imported into New Zealand, and is an article which, in the opinion of the Minister of Customs, possesses such properties that it can be used for a purpose similar to that for which infants’ and invalids’ farinaceous foods are used, the said foods being free of duty under the Tariff Act, 1907:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred upon me by section seventeen of the Tariff Act, 1907, do hereby direct that Sanitas Malted Nuts, being an infants’ and invalids’ food, shall be admitted into New Zealand free of duties of Customs.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
