At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second day of May, 1908.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.

SCHEDULE.
NGAUINGA ROAD.
ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, known as the Ngauinga Road, commencing at its junction with the Mangaone-Mataroa Road, and proceeding generally in an easterly direction, fronting Section 7, Block IV, Tiriraukawa Survey District, and terminating at traverse peg lx, being a distance of 1 mile 20 chains or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 6075, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red, and lettered A.B.

ALL that portion of Tuna Road, in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, commencing at its junction with Ohingaiti-Waiouru Road, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction fronting Section 9, Block IV, Mangaweka South, Section 52 and part frontage of Section 33, Mangaweka South, and terminating 1.50 chains past boundary of Sections 52 and 33 aforesaid, being a total distance of 14 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 8827, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink, and lettered A.A.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:
And whereas the South Rakaia Road Board has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the South Rakaia Road Board closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
