NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME.
I, WILLIAM JOHN SIMPSON, heretofore called and known by the name of “William John Mitchell,” of Napier, Bootmaker, hereby give notice that by a deed-poll dated the 11th day of April, 1908, duly executed, and attested and filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Napier, on the 14th day of April, 1908, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Mitchell,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted, and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe, the name of “William John Simpson” instead of “William John Mitchell,” and so as to be at all times hereafter called, known, and described by the name of “William John Simpson” exclusively.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that George Frederick Hopkins Dee has retired from the Partnership which has for some time past been carried on by the said George Frederick Hopkins Dee and Edward Albert Ernest Dee and William Arthur Dee, under the style of “E. W. Dee and Sons,” in the City of Nelson, in the trade or business of Tailors, Clothiers, and Mercers; and that the business will in future be carried on by the said Edward Albert Ernest Dee and William Arthur Dee under the same style.

Steed and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 10th day of February, 1908. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Arthur Henry Steed, who will continue to carry on the said business under the said style or firm of “A. Steed and Co.”

ELLESMERE LANDS DRAINAGE BOARD.
SPECIAL ORDER.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Ellesmere Lands Drainage Act, 1905,” and by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorised to be raised by the said Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of repaying to the Selwyn County Council (a) the sum of two thousand two hundred and eighty-nine pounds ten shillings and threepence (£2,289 10s. 3d.), being the amount of the principal moneys which the said Council has lawfully expended in respect of drainage-works before the coming into operation of “The Ellesmere Lands Drainage Act, 1905,” together with such further sum for interest as may be found due to the Council up to the date of payment of the said sum; and (b) to construct works necessary to provide an outlet to the sea of the waters at Lake Ellesmere; such loan to be at four and a half pounds per centum per annum for a period of thirty years. And, for the purpose of providing a fund to defray the cost of such payment and construction and execution of the said works, the said Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two twenty-sevenths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Ellesmere Lands Drainage District, comprising all that area of land as described in the First Schedule of “The Ellesmere Lands Drainage Act, 1905”; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the thirty-first day of March and the thirtieth day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the foregoing special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board held at the office of R. H. Rhodes, Esq., Hereford Street, Christchurch, on the 15th day of February, 1908, and duly confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Board held at the office of R. H. Rhodes, Esq., Hereford Street, Christchurch, on the 21st day of March, 1908.

THE DUNEDIN SUBURBAN GAS COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 16th day of May, 1908, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims to the undersigned, and, if so required by notice in writing from the undersigned, are to come in and prove their said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, and in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

I, EDWIN ANDERSON, of Auckland, New Zealand, Settler, do hereby give notice that on and after the 15th day of April, 1908, the surname of “Moore” will be assumed, taken, and adopted by me for myself and children in addition to my previous family surname of “Anderson,” and that at all times hereafter the surname of “Moore” will be used and adopted by me and my children in all transactions, documents, and writings, and all legal and other proceedings. And I further give notice that a duplicate of this notice has been filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District, at Auckland, New Zealand.
